The ACCD Board meets to discuss the upcoming October 2010 annual scientific meeting in Orlando, ironing out final details. VITA plans on unveiling a new ceramic multi-block around this time and plans to divvy out gratis strips to meeting attendees. The Board is planning on releasing another newsletter within a month as final calls are made for articles and content. Wanda Hincher, ACCD executive director, has high hopes that her new IMIS software integration will work wonders for the organization, the website and the membership.

ACCD Board Members discuss the formation of a traveling meeting relating to dental CAD/CAM whereby lecturers present detail in relation to prep, cutback-stain and glaze, and insertion of esthetic, CAD/CAM generated anterior restorations. These meetings will take place at various cities throughout North America to expedite the dental professions access to this useful information given the current economic climate. The Board also discusses the location of the ACCD 2011 meeting, tentatively in San Diego, CA.

ACCD Board Members iron out particulars relating to the 2010 annual scientific session in Orlando. The meeting will take place October 8th and 9th, just prior to the ADA meeting. Also, updates to the ACCD bylaws are discussed and voted upon.

Dr. Micheal Hodish of Norwalk, CT accepts Dr. Richard Steinberg's offer to join the ACCD Board as a voting member. Dr. Hodish is an ISCD certified trainer and the creator of the popular online digital dentistry forum, dentnet.

The ACCD is inundated this month with applications for the ACCD's Mill of the Month. The new feature is gaining popularity! Dr. Rey Martinez's beautiful veneer case is chosen.

After 4 months of laboring, the new ACCD website is launched. A new emphasis is placed upon this site to help to educate the public about the value of dental CAD/CAM.
